About HGS

Our history

Kurt Amann has more than 18 years in the trades, starting in HVAC and plumbing, and over a decade in generators. He built a generator division for a Pennsylvania wholesaler, developed Kohler dealer networks in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and managed more than 150 industrial dealers as a Kohler Certified Trainer.

In 2019, after his son Henry was born, Kurt founded Henry's Generator Service with his wife Kristen. The goal was simple: a service company customers could trust, where a live person answers every call.

In 2026, HGS acquired Critical Systems of Stroudsburg, adding technicians, a rental fleet, load bank capability and a second shop in the Poconos.
